FAQ
HERE ARE SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Epoxy flooring offers several benefits over alternative floor systems. It has a low lifecycle cost thanks to its longevity and durability. It’s easy to maintain and, unlike many commercial systems, never needs to be polished or waxed. Cleaning is easy, usually just a broom will do. It’s one of the few floor systems strong enough to withstand even the most demanding factory and commercial settings. Polaspartic is the product we use on top coat which is even more resilient to scratches than your regular commercial grade epoxy. Designs and colours are endless with this flooring system also.
The longevity of epoxy and or pilyaspartic flooring depends on the quality of the epoxy product, how well the concrete is prepared to ensure a strong bond between the two. Where the epoxy is installed, and how well it’s maintained even though minimal maintenance is needed. Professionally installed epoxy floor coatings can last up to 10 years in harsh industrial environments with adequate protective measures and care. In low-demand commercial settings, epoxy flooring can last longer. Garage and basement epoxy has even been known to last up to 25-30 years as long as a new clear topcoat is added every 7-10 years. We offer a 15 year warranty on all installs.
It depends on job size of course. Typically it will take us two full days.
maintenance on epoxy flooring is very simple but critical in how long the flooring will last. All a person needs is a soft bristle broom or a dust mop. You sweep this out once every couple weeks and your new flooring will last years to come!
There is a misconception about epoxy floors that they are slippery all the time. Epoxy is actually quite grippy and can be altered to have even more grip with the use of flakes or quartz granules.
There is sometimes a big difference between companies who offer coatings. This is due to mostly the product that is used and expertise in field.
